AVIT C23 a BERLIN : dec 2006

Today, the club scene and cultural landscape can’t be imagined without video-art and VJs anymore. In times of the rapid exchange of informations and multimedia and the internet’s phenomenon of group dynamics and communication, an avantgarde of scattered artists committed to visual art and performance have connected and established a real scene. Whether it is artistic realisation, playful exposure to computers and video technology or the fascination of club culture and nightlife - video art and its derivatives have become part of our social reality.

During the last years, video artists of different countries have joined forces and founded local associations to represent their interests, to communciate and to show their art to the broad public. The largest and most important syndication, which originated from the international online VJ platform vjforums.com, is AViTUK in Great Britain and it’s spin-offs in North and South America. Our association declares itself a new node of the worldwide AViT network and is anxious to represent the ideals and philosophy of AViT in Berlin, Germany and beyond.

This big event will take place in Berlin at the BCC ( congress )
A mélange of different workshops and lectures presented by the artists will cover technical aspects just as well as dealing with the status quo and the future of audiovisual art.
AViT>C23 is proud to welcome visualists from Austria, Argentina, Brazil, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Israel, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, United Kingdom and the United States of America to make this event an international conference in the unique AViT tradition.

Petit éclairage sur un événement audiovisuel au BCC ( palais des congrés de Berlin) : le AVIT C23 .
Cet événement , nomade et mondial, puisqu'il a lieu a Leeds, Chicago, Berlin, Brighton, San Francisco,, et aussi depuis peu à Paris sous le nom de vision'R et prochainement a Tokyo et Birmingham.
Le AVIT C23 aura lieu dans un des fiefs mondiaux de la musique Electronique, Berlin, et se déroulera au palais des Congrés sur l'Alexander Plaz, au coeur de Berlin, qui attire des artistes du monde entier et vibre au rythme de la musique electronique depuis plus de 15 ans.
Ce qui fait le grand succés du AVIT C23 c'est qu'il a lieu conjointement a un rassemblement de spécialistes de l'informatique qui connait un grand succés depuis plusieurs années, le "hacker conference Chaos Communication Congress".
Au programme ateliers, conférence, démos et soirées avec des VJs et des intervenants de toute la scéne internationale... ils viennent d'Autriche, Argentine, Brésil, République Czech , France, Allemagne, Italie, Israel, Pays Bas, Pologne, Portugal, Slovaquie, Slovenie, Royaume Uni et USA pour rendre cet événement purement international dans la tradition AViT .

Chaos Communication Congress est un rendez-vous annuel de la scène hacker internationale, organisé par le Chaos Computer Club. Le congrès propose une série de conférences et d'atelier sur des sujets techniques et politiques.

L'évèmenent se déroule à la fin de chaque année, entre le 27 décembre et le 29 décembre, depuis 1984. Le congrès a commencé à être organisé à Hambourg, en Allemagne, puis a été déplacé à Berlin en 1998. Il attire généralement entre 2500 et 3000 participants sans compter les visiteurs qui sont bien plus nombreux....
